Ingredients

  • 1 kg octopus
  • to cook the octopus, you need:
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 onion cut in two
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt
  • For the salad, you need:
  • 2 small colored peppers cut in small pieces
  • 1 small red onion cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley chopped
  • 1 squeezed lemon
  • olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Rinse the octopus under cold water. Drain. Cut and separate the tentacles from each other.
  2. In a large saucepan add the water, octopus, onion, carrot, bay leaves and salt. Bring to boil and let it cook for one hour.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the octopus with the remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper and mix. Serve warm or cold.
