Spanakopita (spinach and feta pie)

Ingredients

  • 10 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 500 g spinach
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 g melted butter
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Sauté the onion and spinach in olive oil until the water evaporates.
  2. Add crumbled feta and beaten eggs.
  3. Butter a baking dish, layer phyllo sheets and the filling.
  4. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
